The original 235, 320, and 360 dump valves were simple hardware store type ball valves not rated for the hydraulic system pressures. It is recommended to change these to a valve rated for pressures above 2000psi.

Some good options are 2F-MB4LPFA-BP (Brass) and 2F-MB4LPFA-SSP (Stainless). These are rated for 2500psi, have two female 1/8npt ends (so the AN912-1D reducer isn't needed), and are available on MSC or through a parker dealer.

Glad to see what others have used!

I replaced a couple of the stock dump valves over the years. I didn't know about Shane's suggestion. I used a Parker valve which meets the pressure rating but is definitely a more bulky option. It has female 1/4" NPT so I had to reduce to 1/8 and then use the street tee like the plans show for both sides of the valve.

Tom, at least what you have there is 1/3 the price. Somehow the price skyrocketed for the compact valves, when I purchased mine a few years ago I paid only $40. . . Now they are well over $150. . .

Either/or will work... Shane is correct, the price of that small valve has more than tripled in the last few years. There are some similar looking valves available via Amazon or similar and less cost, but that are not the same valve!
